Who are we?

WHO ARE WE?

Acció solidària i logística (ASL): We design and implement development projects with the goal of providing technical, educational, and logistical support to organisations, communities, and initiatives that work for global justice, especially in developing countries. We also perform emergency interventions during emergencies.

ASL was created around the Firefighters of Barcelona, and this connection has always been one of its distinguishing features, both when it comes to its composition and the development of its projects.

WHAT DO WE DO??

  • International projects for the rehabilitation and construction of health and educational infrastructure.
  • Projects related to water supply.
  • We provide tools and technical equipment, training and collaboration to fire brigades in developing countries.
  • Emergency response in all phases of disasters.
  • Intervention in refugee camps.
  • Awareness and outreach campaigns.

VISION

Health, education and safety are three fundamental pillars that contribute decisively to the well-being of a community. For this reason, since its inception, ASL has focused much of its efforts on building health and educational infrastructure and on civil protection interventions. Most of the projects have been carried out in the province of Cortés, Honduras, where, after years of working together with the local population (authorities, residents, parents, teachers, healthcare personnel, doctors, firefighters), a bond has been forged that allows for the continuity of all our projects.

VISIÓ

Another major objective of ASL is emergency response. The brutal shock of a major disaster or humanitarian emergency requires swift and concrete action to rescue victims and guarantee basic services to the affected population. That is why we intervene in rescue operations during major disasters, provide logistical support to camps for displaced persons, carry out water sanitation projects and other interventions that, as an NGO so closely linked to emergencies, directly concern us.
